We are testing Spark v2.8.3 against our Openfire v4.0.3 server. After logging into the new Spark client, on Windows or Mac, when we enter password protected rooms and enter the passwords for them, the passwords are visible and not being hidden by the black dots as they are when we enter our own credentials to log into the client itself. Did someone forget and leave this as a text field instead of a password field?
Yes, looks like an oversight [SPARK-1899] Room password dialog should mask/hide the actual password - IgniteRealtime JIRA
It has been fixed in the current source code. Should be in the 2.9.0 version (can’t tel when it will be available).
