Can't configure open fire to work with mysql database

Please am going in insane already, i have slaved for days on my pc trying to get open fire and mysql work together am using a windows 10 pc, each time i create the connection it just says (A connection to the database could not be made. View the error message by opening the “\logs\error.log” log file, then go back to fix the problem.) note please am using xamp, please help am about giving up already

Hi,

This can be happened when open fire server fails to found MySQL server. check you db path ,port no(3306 default by system) and firewall permission for sql port(does it allow or not).

and Please Post yout log from above mentioned path for so that i better assist you.
