I have a installation of spark and the IM client spark.
I have openfire integrated with Active Directory working correctly
its possible configure the contacts appears in IM
Group 1
subgroup 1
subgroup 2
Group 2
subgroup 2

Subgroups are not supported in Openfire. But you can create virtual subgroups. Not sure if this will work for AD. But in Admin Console if you have groups:
group1
group2
you can set Sharing name for group 1 as “master :: group1” and for group2 “master :: group2”. So in Spark it will appear as:
Master
group1
group2
Group Master do not exist in reality, this is just a visual subgrouping. But in Spark there are some issues with this. It will show that there are no online members in Master group, though it doesn’t have any user in it in reality.
