No Web Adminconsole after install

Hi Community,

i have a very strange issue.

I Installed the openfire Server on an Debian 7 with java as described…

All things fine, but when i do: “service openfire start” it seems to start but there is no process in the List and also no Ports listening no 9090 no AdminConsole.

Any Idea? i can not see any logfiles.

Make sure that you’re running Openfire with Java 8, not Java 7.
