I originally followed this guide to migrate from a LAMP server to Ubuntu - Migrate Openfire to new server

When I try to do an upgrade to 4.0 following this guide http://www.2daygeek.com/upgrade-openfire-to-latest-version-in-linux/ and execute the deb file, the database upgrades to 4.0 but the UI still shows 3.9.3 and when I log in, it still shows an upgrade is available.

Any suggestions?

Err, that’s really odd. Did the old Openfire shut down properly before the new one got installed? Any errors during the upgrade?

I did a clean install of Ubuntu and moved Openfire over after installing the deb file. Seems fine now.
