Restrict access to chat archives?

Hi, I’m new to openfire, just installed it on a linux server with all the plugins. I enabled the monitoring service which lets me archive all IM conversations. All this works fine. How do I limit access to these archives to specific admin users? The information in these conversations should not be viewed by everyone, only one or two people. We have several admins set up who need general access to the admin console, but shouldn’t see the IM conversations.

Any help would be appreciated!

You can’t limit the access. Every admin will have access to that information.

UPD: there was a mistype, i wanted to say you can’t

Sorry, noob here.

Just to confirm, because I have very similar necessities:

I need:

Group of Admins 1: access to system settings ONLY. No access to messages or chat sessions.

Group of Admins 2: access to chat sessions ONLY.

Thank you for the support!

It is not possible. Admins have full access.

Thank you very much for the quick answer. Anyhow, is there a way to provide some level of access only to chat sessions or messages, without system settings access?

No. Unless you will rewrite the whole administration code to support role based administration.
