I have seen a few topics related to file sharing security. So I figured I should post something for everyone.
If you want to disable file sharing all together use the “Client Control” plug-in.
To do this we will be using the “Packet Filter” plug-in. Its pretty straight forward.
Create a new group called “OpenFire No File Sharing”
Install the Packet Filter" plug-in.
Create a new rule.
Set “Action” to Reject
Set “Packet Type” to iq
Note:
This will also prevent snapshot files from sending.
