Setting up my first OpenFire server and after a couple of minor problems setting up the LDAP server integration we're hitting a major road block. After the settings have been tested and it's almost done with the setup it asks to add an administrator account. Every account I try gives me this error:
No username was provided or the specified username was not found.
I can't get past this!
What is the source of your LDAP server: OpenLDAP, Active Directory, Novell eDirectory, etc? Did you specify a filters for users and groups? Are the users you are selecting contained within the baseDN you specified earlier in the config?
I'm using Active Directory. In uninstalled the server and re-installed and now it seems to work. However, we're showing as "not authorized" when we try and test it.
Are you sure the user you are specifying is located within the BaseDN you specified. If it is not it will not be allowed to admin the server.
