AD x OF sync problem- new group shows up, new user doesn't

I’m a complete noob when it comes to XAMPP server kind of stuff, so I apologize if I’m not clear here.

I currenly have Open Fire installed on a server, which uses an Active Directory on another server where we add new users and groups as needed.

Suddenly, one day we noticed that adding additional users show up in AD, but not OF. Adding new groups in AD do show up in OF, but somehow users are different. Things I’ve tried:

  1. Clearing the OF cache

  2. Adding a user in the same place as the groups are (testing to see if the groups folder has different rights than the users folder)

  3. Adding/Removing several new users and groups

  4. Restarting both servers

  5. Re-running the OF setup on the OF server

What else could it be? Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you fix it?
